The Voice Recorder is a browser-based microphone capture tool. It uses the Web MediaRecorder API so you can record voice notes, solo podcast takes, language practice, or quick ideas without installing an app or creating an account. The recording stays in memory on your device until you download it — Sound Booster does not upload your audio to a server.
Click the large mic button to start. Your browser asks for microphone permission once; choose Allow. While you record you see a live level meter and a scrolling waveform so you know the signal is present. Click the mic again to pause and resume, then press Finish & save when the take is done. Optional start/end trim lets you cut silence before export.
Export is typically WAV (16-bit) so you can keep editing quality for Equalizer, Bass Booster, Trimmer, or Volume Booster on the same site. If you need a smaller file for sharing, convert the download with Audio Converter. The recorder works on desktop and mobile browsers that support getUserMedia and MediaRecorder (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari with recent versions).
Typical uses include voice memos, dictation drafts, podcast intros, language practice, and capturing a melody idea. Because everything is local, it is suitable when you do not want a cloud recording service. Pair the export with Noise-friendly EQ or Normalize on the main booster if the room was quiet but the level is low.

Watch the timer and live waveform. Click the mic to pause/resume. Press Finish & save when done.
Optional trim of start/end, then download as WAV. Convert to MP3 with Audio Converter if needed.
Capture an idea from a laptop or phone — no app install, no cloud sync.
Record the voice track, then EQ and normalize with the other tools on this site.
Record yourself, play back, compare. Pause is useful for stop-and-think drills.
Hum a melody or sing a hook, then send the file to Trimmer or Pitch Shifter.
No. Recording and export run in your browser. The audio never leaves your device.
Yes. Click the mic to pause, click again to resume. Finish & save produces one continuous file.
No hard limit from us. Practical length depends on device memory — often 1–2 hours on a laptop.
The mic may be muted, the wrong input selected, or permission denied. Check the input device list and browser site settings.
Default export is WAV (lossless, same sample rate as capture). Use Audio Converter for MP3 or other formats.
