Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of:
- The Sound Booster website and browser-based tools (the “Website”); and
- The Sound Booster – Increase Volume Chrome extension (the “Extension”), available at the Chrome Web Store.
By using the Website or Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. What Sound Booster provides
Sound Booster offers tools to boost, normalize, and work with audio and video volume in the browser, and an Extension that can increase the volume of media playing in Chrome tabs. Some features on the Website may be marked “coming soon” and are not yet available.
2. License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Website and Extension for personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
You may not: reverse engineer the Extension except where allowed by law; redistribute our branding or store listing assets as your own; or use automated systems to abuse our hosting or the Chrome Web Store.
3. Your content and responsibility
- You keep all rights to the audio and video files you process.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process, boost, export, or share any file or stream you use with Sound Booster.
- Demo tracks and demo videos included on the Website are for testing the product only. Do not redistribute them as standalone stock media if the underlying license does not allow it.
- You must not use Sound Booster for unlawful content, harassment, or to infringe others’ intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
4. How processing works
Website tools are designed to process media in your browser. We do not operate a media-upload backend for the core boost/normalize features. Local library storage (if used) remains on your device. The Extension adjusts playback in the browser environment; it does not transfer ownership of third-party media to us.
5. Chrome Extension
The Extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and is also subject to Google’s terms. Features and permissions are described on the store listing. We may update the Extension to fix bugs, improve performance, or meet store policies. You can uninstall it at any time.
6. No warranty
The Website and Extension are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that volume boost will work on every website, codec, or device, or that exports will always succeed in every browser.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sound Booster and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Website or Extension. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the services in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or (b) USD 50.
8. Third-party services and links
The Website may load fonts, scripts, or hosting infrastructure from third parties, and may link to the Chrome Web Store or other sites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or outages.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Sound Booster, including by attempting to disrupt the service, bypass security, overload infrastructure, or use the product in a way that harms others or violates law.
10. Changes and termination
We may modify the Website, Extension, or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. We may suspend or discontinue features at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimer and liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s primary place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country provide otherwise.
